I started out a year ago as a member of Mobafire when I first made my Anivia guide. The very first version was horrible. It got like 60% rating on Mobafire and less than that on Leaguecraft. Instead of rage quitting, I rethought my strategies. For the next few versions, I drew inspiration from classic Anivia guides on Leaguecraft such as XGDragon's Anivia guide and Brokenglasses' guide. Their level of detail and structure impressed me back then, but unfortunately they were not updated frequently. As an Anivia player, I wanted every LoL gamer to learn about Anivia. SoloMid guides didn't exist back then, and there is no other quality guides out there. So I decided to do whatever I can to achieve my goal; this goal later became the sole purpose for my Anivia guide, and motivated me to keep on editing and updating my guide (the one you see right now is the tenth and final version).
After several versions, my guide improved dramatically and climbed out of "ELO hell" which existed in the pre-edited Mobafire guide section, in which hundreds of troll votes and duplicate accounts made sure most competitive guides will get past the 60% mark. I started to get massive amounts of friend invites and PMs in game (I still get some right now) from beginners and veterans alike. But that wasn't enough for me, I didn't want my guide to only be in Mobafire because the audience is limited. When SoloMid came out with it's guide section, I quickly added my guide for the purposes of 1) support SoloMid Guide's opening 2) increase my guide's audience. When SoloMid decided to host a guide contest for their new opening, I and several other top Mobafire guide makers joined with our guides. I had to fine tune my already polished guide to make sure that I win the contest. My efforts didn't fail me; I managed to beat out many other guides to claim the 1st place. However, I didn't stop there. I proceeded to claim the 2nd place in LeagueDB's contest for the opening of their guide section. Although RP rewards are great, it was by then that I finally realized my yearlong goal.
Today, I work as a guide moderator for SoloMid hoping to help new guide makers with their guides.
